You know what would make a sweet sitcom? A werewolf, a skylander, a butterfly and a blue and pink bunny as roommates. Our budding architects made a cozy appartment inspired by Entrée (TR: Entrance), a piece by Nils Udo found in the Millenium Ecological Park. The piece is a comfy little refuge with a stone terrace and flat rocks and bushes enclosing the space from either side. Nils Udo is an internationally celebrated land art artist from Germany.
loger. Voici le terrifiant loup-garou miniature de «L» /
First the children drew the imaginary critters that we were going to rent out the space to. Here's "L"'s terrifying mini-werewolf! :
Afterwoods we got to work making their home sweet home. The children came up with the idea to tie branches together into a point to make a sort of tipi. We then completed the walls with long grass that we tied to the branches.
appartement./
The youngins finally put their critters in their new home.

We took a little break to play a game of Hunter and Pheasants ( a callback to last week's pheasant attack) Run "Z" or the Hunter will get you!

By the way, the hunter will eat blueberry pie tonight: all the pheasant got away.
On
For the second hour of our workshop, we explored a new colouring technique of water colour. We made drawings with washable markers. The more intricate the patterns, the better the results. It was a good chance to practice creating patterns with the repetition of lines and shapes. We then took a wet brush and wet the surface. After a moment the ink dissolves, producing the water colour effect.
